Is my gerbil pregnant?

ok, so i have had a male and a female gerbil together for about 6 months now, and they've both always been the lovliest sweetest gerbils ever....but the past two days my female gerbil bonnie has started to show some odd signs....she's been squeaking a lot and when i take her out she nips at me to get me to put her down and then when i go to pick her up again she starts squeaking...she's not letting me hold her at all....is this a sign that she's in early pregnancy or what is happening? please help and please no rude answers.
