Is this a bad idea to do?

I have a 10 gallon tropical fish tank and right not I have 3 Zebra Danios. I wanted to add some guppies to make it colorful but I was wondering do you think the Danios will fin nip the Guppies since they're not in a group of 6? I know the biggest Danio likes to chase around the other two little ones, so I guess he would be the boss of the tank. And I know they're schooling fish but I cant return them anymore so I'm stuck with them and I wanted to add Guppies cause they're are really pretty fish. Is it safe to do? Just to add 2 or 3 Guppies? Any other fish I can add besides any other Danios.
