My DVD can't read cd/dvd?

i have some problem with my notebook. I just bought a new game. but, my laptop can't read it. and it making some weird noise like it want to read it but it can't. sometimes when I turn on the notebook. it make same noise on the dvd. I just ignore it. and when I open the dvd, and close it again it make the same noise too. Anyone know why?
