How to test torque converter out of car?

One way you might know if its failed is to flush the cooler lines out and ck for metal or clutch debris Just catch it in a container and it will reveal alot about if converter is failing My experience is the if the Torque converter fails metal always ends up in the cooler because the filter can,t catch it
